A 18% penalty is assessed on the unpaid balance of the tax account. Additionally, the account is sent to the county attorneys for collections and an additional 20% collection fee is assessed.
After the July deadline, delinquent accounts are charged a 1% penalty the first of each month on the remaining balance until the balance is paid in full.
